Thermal Imager
live screen
The HeatSeeker incorporates an
Auto Hot/Cold Tracker, a tech-
nology that automatically pin-
points the hottest and coldest
temperatures within a single
screen by highlighting both with
dual cursors. A quick scan of the
Auto Hot/Cold Tracker thus iden-
tifies current or potential problems,
such as overloaded circuits, inef-
ficient heat transfer, moisture
leakage, or fluid distribution for
a stuck valve. For accuracy in the
field, HeatSeeker captures a digital photo of the sub-
ject that is then blended with a full infrared picture to
provide added detail to the image under review. Depend-
ing on the complexity of the image, the technician
can choose to blend the digital photo with 25%, 50%
or 75% infrared to better identify suspected components.
The digital image and the thermal can also be shown
simultaneously in the display. Provided ThermalVision
software makes it easy to view, edit or analyze im-
ages on a PC.

Laser Measurement Sensor
immunity up to 40,000lux
The DT50 laser measure-
ment sensor’s tempera-
ture-stable light spot
achieves a positional ac-
curacy of 10mm over the
whole 10 metre distance
range. Black/white shift
difference is negligible.
The sensor is equally com-
petent in measurements
with reflective surfaces. Easy to install, the DT50’s in-
tuitive set-up and key operated menu can be navigat-
ed without the operating manual, allowing easy, on-site
adjustment to suit working conditions and practices. Vir-
tually immune to ambient light interference, the DT50
has a stated immunity of up to 40,000lux making it suit-
able for a wide variety of conditions, from poorly lit ware-
houses to exterior site applications, and even with rap-
idly changing light intensities, e.g. floodlights. The
DT50 has a temperature range from -30 to 65°C. With
a tough zinc alloy casing and optional weatherproof hous-
ing it can be used in conditions as diverse as cold stores,
ports and steel mills.

Temperature Control System
local control and central monitoring
DigiTrace NGC-20 is an advanced
field-mountable electronic temper-
ature control system providing local
control and central monitoring capa-
bilities for industrial heat-tracing
applications. Compared to a cen-
tralised control system, this thermo-
stat can significantly reduce costs
without compromising safety and re-
liability. Approved for hazardous areas, it is also available
with an integrated intelligent safety temperature lim-
iter (SIL 2 device). Heat-tracing is widely employed for tem-
perature maintenance on process lines, vessels and other
equipment. The demand for safe and reliable operation
has increased the need for centralised access to critical heat-
management system information. The system meets these
objectives by combining the benefits of both centralised
and local control. Temperatures, earth leakage, operating
currents and other crucial data associated with heat-trac-
ing circuit integrity is constantly monitored and reported.
Both monitoring and configuration can be achieved remote-
ly via the User Interface Terminal and/or by using super-
visory software application.

Wall Thickness Gauge
eliminates coating from thickness measurements
Making precise wall and coating thick-
ness measurements can be fast and
easy using the TI-CMX, TI-CMXDL (da-
ta-logging) and TI-CMXDLP (data-log-
ging & A-scan) ultrasonic thickness
gauges. Not only do the models meas-
ure coating and wall thickness quick-
ly and accurately—from only one side—
but they automatically measure and
eliminate any coating from wall thick-
ness measurements, allowing users to
locate the finest corrosion and pit-
ting—without removing the coating.
Four user-selected operating modes are included: Coat-
ing On, Coating Off, Thru Coat and Coating Only. All meas-
urements are temperature compensated. An oversized
backlit graphic LCD features easy-to-read fonts, graph-
ics and display codes switch show all critical settings. The
units add built-in memory with RS-232 output for trans-
ferring data to a Printer or PC. It also includes free
Datacomm Data Transfer & Analysis Software and an RS-
232 cable. Data Files can be user-set for a "grid type"
structure or a “sequential” file.

Humidity Logger
with LCD display
The USB-502-LCD stand-
alone data logger measures
and stores up to 16,379
relative humidity and
16,379 temperature read-
ings over the 0 to 100% RH
and -35 to 80°C measure-
ment ranges, and calcu-
lates dew point. The high-
contrast LCD shows a vari-
ety of temperature and humidity measurements as
well as logger status information. At the touch of a but-
ton, users can turn on the LCD display, and cycle through
the most recent, the maximum, and the minimum
logged temperatures and relative humidity readings.
Flashing LEDs indicate logging status, and a user-replace-
able long-life lithium battery is included, which can typ-
ically allow up to one full year of logging. The USB-502-
LCD logger is supported by USB-500 Series Data Logging
Application software, included with the package. The
intuitive software is used initially to configure the log-
ger, program alarm thresholds, logging rates, start
times, and measurement units, etc.

Insulation Tester
fits in a pocket
The compact MIT200 testers
incorporate a number of safe-
ty features, including live cir-
cuit protection giving an audi-
ble warning even if the in-
strument's internal fuse has
failed. The testers incorporate
backlit LCDs with a large ana-
logue-style arc to provide a
rapid indication of results, to-
gether with a digital readout
to give accurate numerical da-
ta for inclusion in reports and
test certificates. After a test, re-
sults are displayed until the next test is initiated. Instru-
ments in the MIT200 range are available in two versions.
The MIT220 offers insulation testing at 250V and 500V,
while the MIT230 allows testing at 250V, 500V and
1000V. MIT200 instruments are supplied complete with
test certificates and test leads. The leads feature right-
angled connectors to prevent tangling and reduce
stress in the cable. MIT230 testers and accessories are
supplied in a rigid carrying case.
